Who we are and what our interests are reflect in the things that we create.  Obviously I make these strips because I like mini stories and doodling a little bit.  However other things I like get reflected, too; in this case I am really into reading and listening to motivational materials so that got thrown in.  Actually, some of the characters reflect what I like, e.g. Kat inherited my love for financial education and LoveJoy loves software programming (I have a computer science background).

Iris Messaging

In Rick Riordan's books, "Iris Messaging" is a type of video message that is used by the Greek gods and demigods to communicate with others using a rainbow.  The service is managed by the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris.*

But with today's technology, I would think Iris Messaging has kept up with the times as well.  It's a must for businesses afterall.

Torched

This is an idealistic cartoon-- that Zeus, Poseidon and Hades were once normal kids who get into scrapes and were then scolded by their Mom (Titan Rhea).  Alas, that wasn't so; they just somehow sprung into adult gods who thankfully still get into trouble from time to time.
